Jets fitness coach resigns after tripping incident

NEW YORK, Jan 31 (Reuters) – The New York Jets fitness coach who was suspended for intentionally tripping a Miami Dolphins player from the sidelines during a December game, has resigned, the NFL team said on Monday. Sal Alosi, who was named head strength and conditioning coach of the Jets in 2007, made headlines for the incident that resulted in the team getting fined $100,000 by the NFL.
