Miami Dolphins release Larry Johnson AGAIN

And the roster churning continues in Davie. The Miami Dolphins released veteran tailback Larry Johnson on Tuesday, cutting the seven-year veteran for the second time in a month. Johnson, who was added two weeks ago as insurance because of the hamstring injury Daniel Thomas was nursing, fell short of impressing the coaching staff during his two week tryout.

Miami Dolphins want competition for all spots

The quarterback competition everyone including the Dolphins wanted is not happening. Chad Henne is the starting quarterback and will remain so unless he’s injured or a bolt from the blue unexpectedly delivers a Penningtonesque miracle. That’s a shame, because a legitimate quarterback competition might have either improved Henne or replaced him with someone better — both of which are good for the team.
