Miami Dolphins blow big lead, fall to Patriots…

FOXBOROUGH, MASS.— A common word thrown around the Miami Dolphins’ locker room this season has been “winnable.” That’s what happens when a team piles up defeats in games they probably should have won. The latest example was Saturday’s 27-24 loss to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The Dolphins blew a 17-point, halftime lead, creating an all too familiar post-game mood

Patriots still have plenty to play for

FOXBORO — The New England Patriots are in the playoffs for the ninth time in 11 years. The Miami Dolphins missed them for the ninth time in 10. Both, though, have a lot at stake on Saturday with the Patriots going for a first-round bye and many Dolphins playing for jobs next season.

MIAMI DOLPHINS: Formula to beat Patriots is simple

Never mind the fact New England has Tom Brady, the best player in the NFL, pulling the trigger at quarterback. Are the Patriots positioned to make another title run? Ignore the ridiculous stats – 143 catches for 1,877 yards and 21 touchdowns - Patriots tight end duo Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez have produced this season

Miami Dolphins won’t quit on season

Didn’t mean to eavesdrop inside the Miami Dolphins locker room after Sunday’s 30-23 win against Buffalo, but it is kind of my job.

Dolphins looking to develop tight end tandem

DAVIE — The development of rookie tight end Charles Clay has the Miami Dolphins one step closer to their goal of a two-tight end offensive set. Coach Tony Sparano said the combination of Clay and veteran Anthony Fasano is closing in on the effectiveness of Dolphins’ best duo at the position. That distinction belongs to Fasano and David Martin in 2008 when they caught 65 passes for 904 yards and 10 touchdowns

Brees and New Orleans Saints Could Be Only Thing…

The New Orleans Saints just might be the best hope for most Miami Dolphins fans—like me—of seeing the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers denied their shot at immortality. The team from Wisconsin is now 11-0 and seem capable of doing what no team other than the 1972 Dolphins have done; run the table in the regular-season and finish with a Super Bowl victory

Miami Dolphins sign veteran kicker Shayne Graham

A day after working out four kickers, the Miami Dolphins have signed veteran Shayne Graham, who will likely replace Dan Carpenter in Sunday’s home game against the Buffalo Bills. Carpenter, the Dolphins’ starter the past four seasons, suffered a groin injury during Thursday’s practice and his prognosis remains uncertain. The Dolphins worked out kickers Jeff Reed, Rhys Lloyd and Fabrizio Scaccia on Friday, but opted to sign Graham before Saturday’s practice.
